We are seeking a talented video editor to join our rapidly expanding team, to assemble recorded footage into a finished product that matches director’s vision and is suitable for various platforms. You will play a crucial role in producing high-quality video content that aligns with the various brands we work with. This position offers an opportunity to grow as part of our dynamic team, gaining hands-on experience in video production, storytelling, and digital marketing in a collaborative environment.
Ultimately, as a film and video editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
Create rough and final cuts.
Colour grading of footage.
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
Work with team from concept to final delivery.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
Media management of raw shoot footage and archiving of projects.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximise efficiency.
Required:
Creativity: A passion for video creation and storytelling, with a keen eye for visual composition and aesthetics.
Technical skills: Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro & Da Vinci Resolve
Basic knowledge: Familiarity with camera equipment, lighting setups, audio recording and scripting writing.
Strong communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members.
Time management: Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changing demands and feedback.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
Proven work experience as a video editor.
Qualifications and work experience:
Five years of work experience in video editing
A showreel of previous work demonstrating video production and editing skills is essential.
