Turkish Airlines has indicated that it has achieved the highest load factor in its history for the first quarter of the year at 80.5%, an increase of 6.5% year-on-year. During the first quarter, 17 million passengers flew Turkish Airlines; an increase of 29%.
Additionally, the airline recorded a 22% growth in demand (revenue per kilometre) year-on-year. It has also seen growth in African traffic, which was a major contributor with a 10% increase in load factor from the continent in March 2018.
