Daily Sun editor bids farewell, not goodbye

After nine years, Themba Khumalo, aka TK, exits as editor-in-chief of the Daily Sun/Sunday Sun at the end of November 2011 to "pursue new ventures", although he will still be heavily involved with the Suns. This is according to a post today, Friday, 28 October 2011, on the SunChirps blog.
Daily Sun editor bids farewell, not goodbye

"Walking away from family, a family that appreciates and cares about each other, will never ever be an easy thing to do. Never in a million years," writes Khumalo. "A time comes though when one has to respond to new challenges. For me that time has come to pursue new ventures. The heart is pulling me in a different direction and I have responded."

Later on in the post he explains: "We still shall gather on Mondays to crush evildoers with TK'S SLEDGEHAMMER. On the pages of the Sunday Sun it will be TK LIVE. There are very many other engagements that I will continue to have with Daily Sun and Sunday Sun. The long and short of this, dear family members, is that I will still be heavily involved with the Suns.

"So this is not GOOD BYE, IT IS FAREWELL."
