Zebula signs up with Signature

Signature Life Hospitality launches its Signature Safaris brand with the addition of Zebula Golf Estate and Spa to its range.
Zebula signs up with Signature

Signature Safaris has welcomed Zebula Golf estate and Spa to the Signature Hotels family. Zebula Estate is reputed to be the only 4 Star graded golf estate; nature reserve and spa in the whole of Africa, located on 1600 hectares of wild African bushveld, nestling under the Waterberg mountain range.

Signature Life Hospitality has signed up this destination adding to their burgeoning and diverse choice of hospitality offerings. Says MD Alan Vels "Zebula is a perfect combination for all leisure and business visitors offering unique and exceptional experiences in a stunning part of the country- this adds a new dimension to our carefully selected portfolio, and is in line with the Signature Safaris brand we are rolling out across Africa."

For many years, safaris in Africa have been categorised by the traditional exclusive game lodge in remote African destinations with a morning and afternoon game experience, usually on the back of a motorised vehicle with a game tracker taking guests to the same game spot, day in and day out. A game walk may have been the absolute highlight of the visit to a game lodge.

Something to remember

However, Signature Life Hospitality believes that a safari in Africa should leave an indelible signature on the soul when returning home after spending time on the wonderful continent of Africa and hence the brand strives to offer more than taking photographs from the back of a vehicle of wildlife.

The new age safari traveller wants to be able to experience game viewing from a new angle, with new game experiences in Africa whilst simultaneously sharing their unique live African encounter with colleagues in New York, London, Cape Town and Tokyo live on Facebook, BBM, Twitter and any other social media which is hip. Signature Hotels therefore has started to rethink the game lodge experience by creating and offering what aims to be a resort experience in a wildlife context and conservancy for the new age safari traveller.

Zebula offers a variety of superb accommodation choices within the 1600 hectares that makes up Zebula Golf Estate and Spa; from luxury bush chalets to 16 Waterberg Lodge suites, to private spacious luxury homes with 4 bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, as well as rentals of privately owned homes. The diversified accommodation provides 350 beds and is flexible and suitable for families, business conferences, incentive groups, international tour groups as well as private nature travellers. Dining at the Zebundu & Nyala Nook is intended to offer an international contemporary menu for all palates, this includes bistro dining in the evenings. There are also several private dining choices that can be tailored specifically for guests needs from a romantic dinner for two, to a family dinner to a conference or special occasion feast.

If all the activities leave you tired out, and then relax at the 5 Star Zebu Health Spa, which has seven treatment rooms, a 3m raised deck for "Out of Africa" open air treatments and an idyllic bird garden with two jacuzzis.

Zebula Lodge is located two hours from O. R. Tambo International Johannesburg Airport and 1 ½ hours north of Pretoria on a tarred road and the area known as the Waterberg Region, is claimed to be the closest African bushveld north of the cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria and is malaria free.
