Movie nights and pop-up dinners return to Steenberg

Steenberg Farm, the Cape Winelands destination, is bringing back two of its most popular events this winter - Movie Nights at Bistro Sixteen82 and its Pop-up Dinners featuring intimate Chef's Table experiences with South Africa's top chefs.
Movie nights and pop-up dinners return to Steenberg

Movie Nights begin on Wednesday, 8 May, and will be screened on the first and third Wednesdays of the coming months. For R190 per person, guests can look forward to a private, fireside viewing of a movie in Bistro Sixteen82's upstairs dining area, accompanied by a hearty winter meal prepared by chef Brad Ball.

Classic cinema snacks will then be served during the movies, including chef Brad's famous aromatic popcorn, homemade wine gums and a selection of cheese and crackers. Steenberg wine will be available at cellar door prices on the night.

Starting on 28 May, the Pop-up Dinners will be hosted on the last Wednesday of every month until November. Tickets are available at R450 per person, and include a five-course surprise menu with wine pairing around an exclusive Chef's Table, allowing guests to watch the country's finest chefs in action.

The menus on the evenings are specially created by the chefs, and no substitutions are possible, as the menu will only be revealed moments before its presentation. These unique events are perfectly suited to diners looking to expand their culinary horizons and excite their taste buds with a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience.

Bookings are essential for both Movie Nights and Pop-up Dinners. To reserve a seat, contact Bistro Sixteen82 on +27 (0)21 713 2211.
