SA Computer Magazine springs into new look

A new-look 124-page bumper issue of SACM (SA Computer Magazine) is due to hit the newsstands on 23 August 2007, sporting a new logo, slicker design and layout, and more diverse and relevant content.
SA Computer Magazine springs into new look

Acquired by Tide Media in February 2005, the title held both challenges and potential for the new owners, and under the careful guidance of editor Lauren das Neves, the publication is reported to have grown into a sophisticated, yet approachable magazine with all the polish of an international publication combined with the local flare of a professional South African team.

“From the September issue of SACM you will notice some big changes and additions to the content makeup of the magazine. Going forward, we will be including gaming, movies, motoring, music, and more cool gadgets as part of the technology and lifestyle content that will be added to the publication on a monthly basis.

“Our objective is to present a more diverse take on the technology lifestyle by adding an additional 24 pages to the existing 100-page magazine, filled with content that is uniquely presented and designed with a focus on quick and easy consumption of information,” explains das Neves.

The revamped SACM is the culmination of the evolution that das Neves and publisher Michael James originally envisioned for what they call “SA's authority on information technology”.

The magazine's new payoff line is “Live the Technology Life”.
