Publisher Craig Ross comments: "The growth of women's golf is very encouraging for the future of this great game and we are proud to be publishing a world class product for this growing market. The quality of the editorial product is key with every publishing initiative and Golf For Women is of the highest quality."

Golf is an ever increasing sport, with celebrities such as Cindy Crawford, Jodie Kidd, Sharon Stone, Catherine Zeta-Jones and South Africa's Cindy Nel recently taking up the sport

Edited by Golf Digest's editor Stuart McLean, the magazine will cover a broad range of topics directly relevant to women golfers. From practical instruction by Golf Digest's only female playing editor, Annika Sorenstam, to beauty tips, fashion, and specific equipment available for women, Women For Golf aims to speak to women golfers about everything they need to improve their game on and off the course. Other topics in the launch issue include an in-depth interview with SA Major champion Sally Little, as well as investigating the spiritual side of golf.

The April issue of Shape will be on sale from 15 March 2006 and retail price of the stand-alone magazine will be R12.95.
