"Having launched the Constellation in the same year in which the KayDav Group listed on the JSE, we are privileged to be part of the opportunities for growth that this transaction presents to the KayDav group and to Lindsay Saker Midrand Commercial,” said Oelofse.

The Volkswagen Constellation trucks were launched to the South African market in August 2007. The Constellation range consists of a comprehensive choice of products including rigid trucks and truck tractors which are said to be successfully operable in even the harshest conditions.

The solid business relationship between Lindsay Saker Midrand Commercial and Kayreed is one of the reasons which led to this significant business deal. “The excellent service, prompt replies and attention to detail were the qualities that made the difference. Thank you for your dedication in getting us the right vehicles for our business,” said Van der Merwe.

Kayreed is a distribution company based in Johannesburg, which wholesales plywood. The body work of the Constellation for Kayreed will be supplied by Imperial Flexi Manufacturing.

“We are further committed to providing a service in the aftermarket that would enable all parties in this transaction to fully capitalise on the opportunities these 16 trucks will present,” concluded Oelofse.
