Nestea, now under the license of Clover, is a non-carbonated ice tea with black tea extracts, a distinct tea taste and classic fruit flavours. This refreshing beverage choice comes in a choice of berry, lemon and peach and is available at selected top-end retailers in branded bottles of 1.5l and 500ml.

The Nestea plunge epitomises that invigorating dose of refreshment that consumers and fans expect from Nestea. Clover is thrilled to kick off the summer of 2015 with the revival of this iconic campaign as well as reintroducing the same Nestea consumers have grown to love and favour, but today it's better tasting than ever before thanks to a new and improved recipe.

In 2015, instead of 'Taking the Plunge' simply because consumers are driven by the refreshing taste of Nestea, the brand has secured six top, local celebrities to plunge backwards into a body of water in an effort to raise up to R100,000 for CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa.

The celebrities

The celebrities - Shashi Naidoo, Roxy Burger, Lunga Tshabalala, Trevor Gumbi, Jessica Nkosi and Mark Fish - all have an incredible influence in the media and also in the social media sphere, and Clover feels honoured and excited to work with them in an effort to raise money for this worthy cause.

The campaign launched on 1 September, 2015, and each Saturday from 12 September to 17 October, the participating celebrities will be taking the plunge backwards into a refreshing pool alongside a winning fan.

Calls to entry for fans to submit their most creative outfit suggestion for the celebrity plunging that week opens every Monday to Thursday from 7 September to 15 October (lines open at 8am on Monday and close at 10am on Thursday), with the winning fan receiving the opportunity to plunge alongside his favourite celebrity.

Official celebrity plunge videos will be shared weekly and voting week will open from the 26 to 30 October (and the lines will be open until 12pm), during which fans can submit votes for their favourite celebrity and fan plunge videos. The celebrity plunge with the most votes (each vote costing R10) will win the ultimate prize of up to R100,000 for CHOC, and the winning fan a luxury trip for two to the Knysna Tonquani Resort and Spa near to the Drupkelders rock pool for four nights valued at R50,000.

An entry into the competition is free, with Nestea donating R10 to CHOC for each vote received. Proceeds from this campaign will go to CHOC, who really have their hearts set on a celebrity winning up to R100,000.
