Big sales for ‘Homeless Talk’

In a spin off from the Pick 'n Pay 94.7 Cycle Challenge, Gauteng's "all heart radio station" jocks and staff took to the streets to help raise money for the Homeless Talk Creche.

They were assisted in their efforts by members of the HSBC and Microsoft professional cycle team members, Pick 'n Pay staff and on-air, by Rude Awakening host Jeremy Mansfield and his team.

Commenting on the fund raiser Dex de Bruin, Marketing Manager of 94.7 Highveld Stereo said, "Once again our bighearted listeners and advertisers responded magnificently to an appeal from those in need. They contributed a total of R34, 254 to add to other initiatives to help keep the Homeless Talk creche alive."

Funds raised from last year's Challenge appeal helped establish the crèche in Braamfontein. It cares for the children of those who sell the Homeless Talk newspaper.
